Waves Superhero
In this project, we were divided into groups of 5, and had to come up with a superhero plot line, with a villain, a superhero, and some sort of background characters. We were learning about the different types of waves and their intensity, and had to use that knowledge when giving our Superhero and villain their powers. Their powers, obviously had to be fictional, because superpowers don't exist, but they needed to have some basis in reality connected to waves. First, we had to decide what kinds of powers our characters would have. Once that was settled, we had to design and draw each of our characters using their superpowers, if they had any. Finally, we had to add whatever color we were going to use with water colors.
The thing that I am most proud of from this project is the imagination that we used in every phase, from deciding the superpowers, to creating the plot line, to designing our characters. All of it came from our imagination, and I'm very proud of that. If I could improve or revise something, it would have been the commitment that I, and my team, showed in this project. I feel like none of us tried our very best during this project, and clearly that showed in the quality of our work. If we would have been more dedicated, all of our work would have been much better. The three Habits of the Heart and Mind that I think I used the most in this project were Cooperation, Perseverance and Refinement. I believe I used Cooperation because this was a group project, and I was constantly working together with someone. I believe I used Perseverance because this project required a lot of drawing, and I'm not the most talented artist in the world. Finally, I used Refinement because every step required editing and improving our previous drafts.
